Match Play TV Segment

A 54-hole collegiate amateur event is the first of its kind creating a bowl-like experience, which has garnered national media coverage from ESPN, the Golf Channel and Match Play Tv. We were fortunate to catch up with Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.) and learn more about this great event and its standing tradition to honor fallen service members.
Every participant receives a golf bag at the event’s opening ceremony bearing the name and branch of service of a fallen military member whom they shall represent. At the conclusion of the tournament the golf bags will be auctioned with all proceeds benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation which provides educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while in active service.

Luke Air Force Base Visit

One of the experiences that makes the Patriot stand out as such a unique event is the Luke Air Force Base visit players get to attend. It provides the players with a glimpse into what it’s like to be someone in an active duty military position. Many of the Airmen they meet on the tour are the same age, yet have very different day to days in comparison to collegiate golfers. Additionally, players get an up close and personal look at, as well as demonstrations with, some of the most high end, high tech, deadly military technology available. From climbing into the cockpit of an F-16 simulator to putting on a fat suite and having a military police dog chase you down, these players surely get an experience of a lifetime on this visit.
