Conditions of Competition

PAIRINGS AND STARTING

Play will commence each morning of the Invitational at 9:30 a.m. Starting times and pairings for the first round will be posted at registration, on the web site, and in the golf shop beginning on December 28. Starting times and pairings for rounds #2 and #3 will be available after completion of the previous round, and will be posted at the golf shop, scoreboard, and each evening on the Invitational web site. Play will be in groups of three from both #1 and #10 tees.

CARTS AND CADDIES

The use of motorized carts of any kind is not permitted. Spectators are welcome and must walk unless advanced approval is granted by the Committee which will employ ADA Guidelines in assessing requests.

Contestants may carry their own bag or employ a caddie. The Committee will make every effort to provide a caddie if requested. Contestants should indicate their caddie preference on the entry form. If a player brings his own caddie, he/she will be charged the guest room rate at The Wigwam.

DRESS CODE

The Patriot All-America Invitational dress code will be strictly enforced during the week. Suitable attire must be worn at all times. Contestants are required to wear slacks during all rounds, including practice and Am/Am event. Caddies are expected to wear suitable attire during event. No jeans, running suits, cargo pants, tank tops or T-shirts of any kind will be allowed. Caps and visors must not be worn inside the clubhouse. Sandal type golf shoes are not permitted. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in withdrawal from the Invitational.

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

Distance-measuring devices that measure distance only may be used during the Invitational. A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3. Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts; is the General Penalty. Penalty for second breach, unrelated from first breach, is disqualification.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Unacceptable conduct or behavior during the Invitational week will not be tolerated and may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time. This applies to the golf course, clubhouse, hotel and all functions. The Tournament Committee shall be the sole judge in determining unbecoming conduct or behavior and any appropriate penalty or sanction.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

As a condition of the Invitational, the use of noise-making electronic devices, including cellular telephones, pagers, radios, walkmans, MP3 players, iPods, and any other similar noisemaking devices will be prohibited during play. Clarifications and special requests for exemption must be directed to the Tournament Committee in advance.
