2020-21: Started all six regular season tournaments for UC Davis, posting a pair of top-five finishes en route to his second career all-conference first-team honor… His season scoring average of 72.50 was tops on the team, finishing a combined 18-over for the season… Posted 12 of his 18 rounds at par or better for the year, including five rounds under par and three in the 60s… Best finish of the year came at the Aggies’ own El Macero Classic, finishing in a tie for fourth with a 7-under 209 to help UC Davis to the team championship in a playoff over Saint Mary’s… Also finished in a tie for fifth at the Big West Conference Championships to help the Aggies to a second-place team finish, shooting an even-par 216… Finished the year with nine straight rounds at par or better, including a season-low 68 in the final round of the El Macero Classic, and a 69 in the second round of that same tournament… Also shot a 69 in the final round of The Prestige… Named the Big West Conference Golfer of the Month for April, adding a tie for 28th at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic to his finish at the El Macero Classic.

2019-20: Appeared in all eight regular season events for the Aggies… Posted seven top-25 finishes on the year, including a top-10 finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational (tied for ninth)… Led the Aggies with a 71.38 stroke average over 24 rounds, ending the year a combined 6-under for the season… Posted eight rounds in the 60s and 13 of his 24 rounds at par or better for the season… Was the Aggies’ top finisher in six of the team’s eight tournaments… Finished among the top 15 at both the Windon Memorial Classic (tied for 13th) and Southwestern Invitational (tied for 14th), while also finishing tied for 17th at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, tied for 19th at the Marquette Invitational at Erin Hills, tied for 21st at The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab, and tied for 24th at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic… Fired a season-low opening-round 67 to kick-off The Prestige… Had back-to-back rounds in the 60s at both the Trinity Forest Invitational and Amer Ari Invitational… Finished with a season-low 54-hole score of 209 (-4) at the Trinity Forest Invitational with rounds of 69, 68, and 72.

SUMMER 2019: Rebounded from an opening round 77 to shoot a 66 in the second round at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club and qualify for match play at the 119th U.S. Amateur… The 66 was tied for the second-lowest round of the day as he is believed to be the first Aggie to advance to the match play portion of the tournament while still a part of the active roster… Faced off against Stefano Mazzoli, a TCU alumni, and battled to a playoff before falling.

2018-19: One of two Aggies to play in all 11 regular season tournaments along with teammate Daniel Kim… Captured his first collegiate win at the Windon Memorial Classic in September with an 11-under 205, firing a season-best 64 in the opening round… Posted seven top-10 finishes — and four among the top four — including a second-place finish at the Big West Conference Championships at Wailua Golf Club in Lihue, Hawai’i, with a 1-under 215… Posted a season stroke average of 71.00, putting him third in school history… Finished tied for 44th at the NCAA Pullman Regional, with a 54-hole total of 211 (+1)… Posted eight rounds in the 60s, including rounds of 66 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in April and The Prestige Presented by Charles Schwab in February… Led the team with 20 runs at par-or-better… Named the Big West Conference Golfer of the Month on Oct. 5, after opening the year with a tie for ninth at the Gene Miranda Intercollegiate and his win at the Windon Memorial… Outside of collegiate play, shot back-to-back rounds of 69 to qualify for the 2019 U.S. Amateur Championship at the Pinehurst Resort… Shot a two-day total of 144 to advance to the match play portion of The Amateur Championship, one of only six Americans to make the cut… Posted a win at the McClure Cup Amateur, defeating the closest competitor by 10 strokes following a 10-under 206.

2017-18: Only Aggie to play in all 10 regular-season tournaments, including Big West Conference Championship... Averaged 73.24 per round (29/2124), leading team for most of the year before Ryan Han overtook him... Had team’s season-low round of 65 during 2nd round at Amer Ari Intercollegiate (2/2)... Ended up as team medalist in Hawaii, thanks to 7-under 209 total, good for share of 20th... Placed T10th of 84 players at The Prestige at PGA WEST (2/20-2/21), thanks to rounds of 72 and 71... Added T7th in El Macero Classic (4/13-4/15) for his second top-10 finish... Finished Big West tourney with 3-under 69 to salvage T21st place..

PIONEER HS ’17: Junior Tour of Northern California Player of the Year in 2015-16... Also became first Northern Californian in a decade to earn a spot at USGA Men’s State... Set JTNC record of three consecutive wins and six total wins, capturing eight medalist honors overall as a junior... Win No. 4, a 211 (-5) at the NCGA junior championship, made him and sister Samantha the first-ever siblings to win that event... Set school and Bay Valley Athletic League honors with 26-under-par total for the year.

PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif.... Majoring in mathematics... Parents are David & Victoria Hutchison... Youngest of three siblings, along with Owen (23) and Samantha (22)... Samantha plays for Aggie women’s golf team and qualified for 2017 U.S. Amateur... Lists Kevin Hart as his sports hero... Perhaps appropriate to that choice, would also like to introduce trash-talking to the sport.
