Soldier Honored: Brandon E. Maggart

Army Sergeant Brandon E. Maggart, 24, of Kirksville, Missouri, was assigned to the 5^th Battalion, 5^th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He died on August 22, 2010 of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using indirect fire in Basrah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sergeant Maggart graduated from Kirksville R-III High School in 2005 and enlisted in June of 2006. He undeniably loved sports, a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and University of Missouri teams. His favorite activities included golfing, fishing, eating steak, and going to Seattle Seahawks and Mariners games. He leaves behind his wife of four years, Teresa, his son, his parents, and two siblings.
