WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Wyatt Provence of West Texas A&M claimed the 2024 Division II Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award this evening for earning medalist honors following the NCAA Division II National Championship.
Sitting no worse than T5 after each round, the freshman from Amarillo, Texas, used 13 birdies, including five during the final round, and one eagle to win by five strokes. The NCAA Division II Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman and PING First-Team All-American finished the tournament with a 12-under 201 (67-66-68), setting the Championship record for the lowest three-round total score.
The win was Provence’s second of the season.
