Joined Andy Sanders, Ray Barr and Keith Fergus as the only Cougars in school history to accomplish that feat... Earned the HBU Husky Intercollegiate individual championship with a score of 8-under-par 205 for the first collegiate title of his career... Finished six strokes ahead of his closest competitor... Opened the Shoal Creek Invitational hosted by Graeme McDowell with a 71 and finished in a tie for 20th at 220... Tied for team lead with two rounds in the 60s at the OGIO Utah Invitational... Tied for 10th at 3-under-par 210... Tied for 19th at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic with a score of 222. Spring -- Made his season debut at the President's Day Challenge... Tied for second at 147... Tied for third at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational witha score of 4-under-par 212... Posted a 67 in the Second Round of that event... Fired a score of 7-under-par 137 at the rain-shortened Border Olympics to lead the Cougars and tie for second... Recorded a score of 215 to tie for 20th and lead the Cougars at the 3M Augusta Invitational... Opened that tournament with a 69... Opened The Maxwell with a 69 and finished with a score of 141 to tie for 22nd and lead the Cougars. American Championships -- Tied for ninth with a score of 216 at Black Diamond Ranch... Closed that tournament with an even-par 72. NCAA Franklin Regional -- Posted a score of 16-under-par 200 to earn medalist honors... Became the fourth Cougar in program history to win an NCAA Regional individual title... Joined current teammate Blair Hamilton (2015 Lubbock), Brett Callas (2003 Central) and Dean Larsson (1992 Central)... Joined Hamilton as the only players in school history with three straight rounds in the 60s in NCAA Regional play... Opened the tournament with a 65 to set a Houston record in NCAA Regional play, topping previous low of 66 set by Kyle Pilgrim (2015 Lubbock) and Curtis Reed (2012 Athens)... Fired a score of 65 in the Second Round and closed out the tournament with a bogey-free 66 to help lead the Cougars to their third straight appearance in the NCAA Championships. NCAA Championships -- Tied for 67th with a score of 218 at Eugene Country Club... Posted a 70 in the Second Round... Closed out the tournament for the Cougars with a 20-foot birdie on the final hole. Summer -- Fired four straight rounds of par or better to win Greystone Invitational at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Ala... Opened and closed the tournament with 69s to finish and 8-under 280 and take a 2-stroke victory.
