  • Ban is one of Cal’s most experienced players along with fellow junior Keelan Kilpatrick on a 2014-15 roster without a senior.

  • He is the only Cal player with experience at the NCAA Championship level and one of only two along with Kilpatrick to have seen postseason action.

  • Ban, who has been hampered by wrist injuries during his career, has been in and out of the lineup since his arrival in the fall of 2011 but is healthy and has played in each of the team's first four events in the spring of 2015, recording both his first career victory at the John A.

  • Burns Intercollegiate and a tied for third-place showing at the Arizona Intercollegiate.

  • Ban saw the most action of his career as a 2013-14 sophomore when he played in nine of 14 events, including all three in the postseason with a pair of top-20 finishes at the Pac-12 Championship (T16th) and NCAA Sugar Grove Regional (T20th) among five for the campaign that included a season-best sixth-place showing at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational in the fall of 2013.

  • He was named Cal’s Co-Most Improved Player in 2012-13.

  • Ban has had several strong showings in his amateur career outside of Cal most recently by tying for second at the 2015 Saguaro Amateur among 21 top-10 finishes since 2008.
