Cory Whitsett First Patriot All-America Champion

Alabama sophomore Cory Whitsett, who shot a tournament-best 64 in Thursday's second round, held off a teammate on the final day to win the inaugural Patriot All-American Invitational at the Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park on Friday.

Greensboro College's Ben Nihart (Forsyth Home Educators '08) will play in the Patriot All-American Invitational golf tournament Dec. 28-30 at Wigwam Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz. The event is a 54-hole collegiate golf tournament consisting of Division I, II and III PING All-America golfers from the previous season.

Inaugural Patriot All-America Invitational

College Football has its annual bowl season, and college golf will soon be part of that bowl-like experience thanks to a unique tournament that will make its debut between Christmas and New Year’s Eve in the Valley of the Sun.

The Patriot All-America Invitational, which will feature PING All-Americans from the previous season in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as All-Americans from the NAIA,NJCAA and AJGA ranks, will take place Dec.28-30 at the Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park.
